WEST TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Firefighters responded to a structure fire Tuesday at approximately 4:30 p.m. in West Terre Haute.
The fire was at a home near the intersection of Paris Avenue and N. 4th Street.
Paris Avenue was blocked off at the U.S. Highway 150 intersection.
When crews arrived, they found a working fire on the second story of the home. They were able to contain the fire to the second story, but there was smoke and water damage throughout the house, according to a Facebook post from the Sugar Creek Fire Department.
Sugar Creek Fire, Honey Creek Fire, Terre Haute Fire Department, Seelyville Fire Department, New Goshen Fire Department, Shepardsville Fire Department, West Terre Haute Police Department, and Trans Care Ambulance assisted.
No injuries were reported, but one cat was unaccounted for.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
