Update: Power has been restored to all customers in the impacted area.
Update: As of 4:30 a.m. Monday, power was still out to 53 Duke Energy customers in the area of Haute City Center.
Update: Rick Burger with Duke Energy said that a pole fell near a Duke Energy substation causing the outages. The outage map currently says power could be out until Monday morning.
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – According to the Duke Energy outage map, an object coming into contact with a powerline caused several outages near Haute City Center.
There are 159 customers currently without power with the first report of an outage occurring just before 6:30 p.m.
The outage map estimates that power should be restored at around 9 p.m.
