TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– Communication students from Indiana State University are connecting college students through coffee.
The Terre Haute Coffee Crawl is a way for students to become more familiar with Terre Haute and local coffee shops. Students will pick up a punch card on campus and then visit each coffee shop. They will then post their completed punch cards on Instagram by November 18 for a chance to win a giveaway basket.
Participating shops are Federal Coffee, Corsair Café, Little Bear, Macksville, Studio 12, Loose Goose, and Maggie & Moe’s Coffee.
Project Manager Sarah Hoff said its a great way to get students comfortable with Terre Haute.
“We find that there’s a disconnect between students and the community. Maybe students don’t have a car or they’re just not sure what to do around town,” Hoff said. “Support local businesses. It’s really important to keeping our community thriving just by making those connections. And showing students that, hey this community is here for you.”
Winners of the basket giveaway will be announced on November 19.
