TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — This new school year marked an exciting milestone for more than a dozen local children and their families.
Hopebridge Autism Therapy Center in Terre Haute is celebrating the graduation of 14 children from its program. These children are now in classrooms for the first time.
Stephanie Perez, whose son graduated from Hopebridge encourages parents to never lose hope, and remember that anything is possible.
“He is a different child. He has achieved so much,” said Perez. “He can now answer things that I never thought would be possible. He understands a lot more when it comes to emotions and he is now in the second grade and he is achieving so much.”
“Most of our kids seem very excited when they are graduating,” board-certified Behavioral Health Analyst at Hopebridge Jackie Harris said. “They know how hard it’s been to go through therapy and learn all these different things that may be a little tougher for them than everybody else, and we love seeing that excitement on their face.”
The center says this year’s class is the biggest graduation they’ve had so far.
