SHELBURN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Shelburn Volunteer Fire Department hosted an open house and dedication ceremony for the new fire station.
Funds for elements of the new station, like the roof, came from fundraising events and donations from the community.
Those at Sunday’s open house say they are proud of the work done to better the community with this new station.
“This is a world of improvement from what we were used to. It definitely tells us how dedicated the public is to allowing us to have the facilities that we need so that we can go out and further do our job to better house our equipment and to do training as well,” said Shelburn Fire Chief John Quilliam.
The Shelburn Fire Department was nominated to be part of our “2 Gives Back” program.
