INDIANAPOLIS (WTWO/WAWV) — Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb released the findings of a report Monday assessing state-level law enforcement agencies.
The year-long evaluation examined what state law enforcement is doing well and where agencies can improve. Among the recommendations that have now been implemented are:
- Body cameras for all officers
- Efforts for diversity recruitment
- Investing in a shared case management system to increase transparency between agencies
- Implementing a nationally recognized system that tracks use-of-force incidents
