UPDATE: The two people arrested in connection with the death of Roger Courson were identified Tuesday by the Clay County State’s Attorneys Office.
Christopher Gallatin, 27, Centralia, Ill. and Walter L. West, 30, Edgewood, Ill. were both arrested and charged with first degree murder and residential burglary, Attorney Andre Koester said. The two men are being held in Clay County Jail with a bond of $2.5 million at 10% each.

CLAY COUNTY, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — Illinois State Police reported Monday that two people are in custody in connection to a death investigation in Clay County, Ill.
80-year-old Roger Courson was found dead on Sept. 26 in his Edgewood, Ill. home by a family member. Police said Monday that two suspects have been detained in the case.
The Clay County State’s Attorney’s Office is reviewing the matter and formal charges are expected to be brought against the two in custody.
