TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — St. Patrick School will hold its annual Irish dash and parade this Saturday, after the pandemic forced the events’ cancellation last year.
With things improving, the school received the green light to hold these festivities, and the event coordinators are very excited.
“Grab your mask. Grab your bag. Come out and get some candy, and have a good time and come out and support St. Patrick School,” said Richard Shagley, the parade’s co-chair. “We’ve got some very excited kids to have this event and come out, have a good time.”
A one-mile fun run begins at 9 a.m., with the 5K walk/run starting at 9:30 a.m. The races begin at 19th and Poplar. The parade, which runs on Ohio from 26th St. to 19th St., and then along 19th to Poplar, begins at 1 p.m.
