CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Clay Community Schools Wednesday announced students will return to in-person instruction Monday.
The school first went remote Nov. 12 after Clay County moved into the red COVID-19 risk metrics as set by the Indiana State Department of Health. The initial plan was to stay on a remote learning plan for two weeks; however, school administrators later extended the school closures.
The ISDH has downgraded Clay County to the orange category.
“We are excited to get our students back into the classrooms,” the school corporation announced on its website. “We will continue to work very closely with local health officials and monitor the conditions on a daily basis.”
The school corporation urged families to keep children home who are sick, symptomatic or quarantined.
