TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Local organizations are receiving monetary help to deal with challenges created by the pandemic.
Lilly Endowment recently made $25 million in grants available to nearly 300 youth-serving organizations throughout the state of Indiana.
The Terre Haute Children’s Museum is among four organizations in Terre Haute to receive funding.
The museum received $20,000 which will be used to cover COVID-19 related expenses like staffing and cleaning.
“I’m just really proud that we are among some of the top organizations in the state of Indiana to receive funding from Lilly Endowment and very proud to be listed with these other organizations in Terre Haute that are serving children in our community,” says Susan Turner, Executive Director of the museum.
The other organizations in Terre Haute to receive funding are Hamilton Center, Chances and Services for Youth and Reach Services.
