TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Terre Haute man is behind bars after police said they found drugs and a gun during a traffic stop Sunday morning.
A Indiana State Police Trooper stopped Aaron Mcdaniel in the area of 9th Street and Wabash Avenue just after 2 a.m.
After suspicious activity led to a search, the trooper found marijuana and a handgun that McDaniel was not licensed to carry.
They said McDaniel was also driving drunk and refused a sobriety test.
McDaniel was arrested on several charges including DUI, possession of marijuana and carrying a handgun without a license.
He’s being held in the Vigo County Jail without bond.
