VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Vigo County Commissioners on Friday signed a disaster emergency proclamation as drought conditions continue.
The proclamation, which expires at noon Oct. 30, prohibits campfires and other recreational fires unless enclosed in a fire ring. The burning of debris or any other open burning is also prohibited.
Burning in barrels is authorized from dusk to dawn; however, each barrel must have a quarter inch mesh top.
