CRAWFORD COUNTY, Il. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office has put an almost two-year veteran of the department on administrative leave pending a full investigation into the deputy’s on-duty action.
The investigation was initiated on October 5th following a video circulating on social media of Deputy Ian Kasemyer’s on-duty actions.
A release from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office states an administrative leave is a standard procedure that allows for a thorough and unbiased investigation into the matter.
Deputy Kasemyer’s service weapon and badge have been confiscated.
