TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO?WAWV)— Monday evening, the Wabash Valley Fair Association and Terre Haute Action Track wrapped up the season with their Finish Line Celebration.
The event featured two-seater ride-alongs and meet and greets with USAC drivers and officials. Assistant Director Brad Anderson says Monday’s event marks the close of the racing season and builds anticipation for the rescheduled Tony Hulman Classic event on October 3rd.
“It’s just an event free for people to come out, see what’s going on, come see the track, and it’s nice to be able to know we got a race coming up, October 3. And we’re just excited about it,” Anderson said.
Terre Haute Casino Resort is one of the sponsors for this year’s event. Their general manager, Austin Muchemore, says they are excited to help with the event.
“We’re just really proud to be apart of this area. Obviously the fair and these races are a big part of this area and we’re happy to be a partner, and help contribute to building and making these events even bigger every year,” Muchemore said.
