BRUCEVILLE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— A driver and passenger of a jeep were sent to the hospital after a collision with a school bus from the North Knox School Corporation.
According to Knox County Sheriff Doug Vantlin, an accident occurred Monday afternoon around 3:25 p.m. between a school bus from the North Knox School Corporation and a jeep. The accident happened at the intersection of U.S. Highway 41 and Jones Pit Road.
According to Sheriff Vantlin, the school bus was attempting to cross the highway from Pierce Road and pulled out in front of the Jeep traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 41. Sheriff Vantlin stated that both the driver and passenger of the Jeep were taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Darrel Bobe, Superintendent for the North Knox School Corporation, stated that neither the students nor the bus driver suffered any serious injuries from the collision. Sheriff Vantlin added that only one student of the 29 on board complained of pain. Bobe said that thoughts and prayers go out to those involved in the wreck and their families.
