TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Terre Haute Police Department (THPD) has made an arrest in relation to an altercation at a local bowling alley that resulted in one man being injured by a knife.
The altercation happened last Friday, September 19, at Imperial Lanes in Terre Haute. According to police, an initial investigation determined that an individual had sustained a stab wound during the incident.
After working with the Vigo County Prosecutors’ Office, THPD obtained a search warrant for the suspect, John D. Akers, 41, of Terre Haute.
According to THPD, Akers was arrested on Tuesday, September 23, on preliminary charges of battery committed with a deadly weapon, battery resulting in serious bodily injury, intimidation and intimidation with a deadly weapon.
