TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Azzip Pizza’s newest Terre Haute location officially opened its doors for customers Monday.
“We cannot thank the city of Terre Haute enough for the past nine years of support and for helping Azzip grow!” says founder Brad Niemeier. “Customers here embraced Azzip right off the bat and have made the original Terre Haute store one of our top-performing locations, year after year. It has also been a wellspring of talent — our entire Northern leadership team has passed through our Terre Haute store in one way or another along with many of our northern GMs.”
The new store is located at 2499 South State Road 46, on the Eastside of Terre Haute, next to the new Chipotle location.
“The development on the east side is just what we were looking for and we’re excited to grow in that area.” says Co-CEO Andy Niemeier. “Our new store is here to give you the same great personal pizza you’ve loved for years at another convenient location. We’re here to help you Create Something Delicious!”
Azzips’ first location in Terre Haute previously opened back in 2016 and has been a big success ever since, which was one of the main reasons Azzip decided to open a second location in Terre Haute. Azzip Pizza Director of Operations Craig Melvin mentioned that opening a second location was a no-brainer.
“Since we opened in 2016 in the city, Terre Haute is really embraced Azzip,” Melvin said. “We’re excited to be able to give back and open up some more capacity for more people in the Wabash Valley to come and enjoy their favorite pizza. Our south location does really well and has almost kind of hit capacity. Which also was a good reason for us to open up another location, to kind of spread that business out across the city.”
The “fast-casual pizza restaurant” is best known for giving customers the ability to customize their pizza any way they see fit.
