KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A single vehicle crash in Knox County led to deputies finding over 30 pills of a controlled substance and methamphetamine inside the vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office.
Knox County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) deputies were dispatched to the intersection of South 6th Street Road and Williams Road after a vehicle crashed into a pole, according to KCSO.
“The passenger, Jeremy Scott, was showing some signs of impairment and appeared to be very restless and fidgety. Further investigation resulted in deputies locating illegal drugs and prescription medication. Jeremy Scott claimed ownership of the illegal items,” said KCSO.
Deputies allegedly located 32 pills of Gabapentin (a Schedule 5 controlled substance), a pipe, and two hypodermic syringes. KCSO said one of the syringes was “fully loaded with a clear liquid that tested positive for methamphetamine.”
Scott was then placed under arrest and booked in the Knox County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a legend drug, illegal possession of a hypodermic needle and possession of methamphetamine.
