VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Improvements are currently underway on the clubhouse at Rea Park Golf Course in Terre Haute, but not all things will be brand new.
Rea Park Golf Course was built more than a century ago. It still stands today are one of the city’s most beloved historical buildings.
To help showcase the building, the Vigo County History Center is donating items to be shown in the building.
Suzy Dunning of the history center said, while they have many artifacts, they also want to hear from you.
“This is a piece of history that may be hiding out in people’s homes, maybe they don’t know that they have photos of relatives who were at Rea park or in the clubhouse”, Dunning said. “That’s what our call to action is about. We’re asking the public to come forward if they have photographs or documents, maybe old scorecards or things that relate specifically back to Rea Park and the clubhouse.”
