TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — 165 Indiana State University student-athletes have been recognized by the Missouri Valley Conference for excelling on and off the field.
The conference has recently released its 2024-2025 Academic Honor Roll, which highlights more than 3,000 student-athletes who had a minimum grade point average of 3.2 during the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 athletic seasons.
The honor roll also highlighted 165 ISU student-athletes who have been awarded the Board of Directors Academic Excellence Award and the Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award.
The Board of Directors Academic Excellence Award is given to student-athletes who have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.8, participated in athletics for a minimum of two years and must be within 18 hours of graduation by the end of the 2025 spring semester.
Indiana State led the conference with 29 of its student-athletes being given the Board of Directors Academic Excellence Award.
ISU also tied Belmount University in the conference with 136 student-athletes receiving the Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award, which is awarded to those with a minimum grade point average of 3.5 for each of the previous two semesters, a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.2 and has participated in athletics for a minimum of two years.
