ODON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Businesses and residents of Daviess, Dubois, Greene, Knox, Martin, and Pike counties will soon have a place to apply for a low-interest disaster loan after the damaging storms in late June and early July.
The United States Small Business Administration (SBA) will be operating a Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) in Odon, Indiana. You will be able to take out a loan to help with the repairs to your property from the severe storms and flooding that occurred from June 28 to July 2.
The DLOC can be used to help residents in filing claims and answering questions regarding potential assistance to recover from damages. SBA customer service will also be on hand to answer questions about the loan program and help with applications.
Those who wish to apply for the loans have until September 16 to return applications for physical property damage. Those who are seeking Economic Injury Loans have until April 20. Small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, and most private nonprofit organizations located in the six-county area that have suffered substantial economic injury from the storm may be eligible for an SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan.
The center will be located at 311 Park Street at the Odon Community Center. The hours are July 23, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and then July 24 to July 31, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will be closed on Sunday.
