INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Indiana Department of Veteran Affairs announces it will be allocating $1,140,000 in grants to five Veteran Service Organizations across Indiana for the Fiscal Year of 2026.
The grants have been awarded as follows, according to the Indiana Department of Veteran Affairs:
- The American Legion: $295,221.65
- American Veterans (AMVETS): $181,136.77
- Disabled American Veterans (DAV): $239,970.76
- Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW): $255,270.82
- Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA): $168,400.00
The Indiana Department of Veteran Affairs said these funds will support a wide array of critical services for the veteran community in the state.
“Indiana’s VSOs provide invaluable services that enhance IDVA’s mission of supporting our veterans. These grants empower each organization to tackle specific service needs within our community, ensuring our veterans receive the care and assistance they deserve,” said Jake Adams, Director of Indiana Department of Veteran Affairs.
