ROCKVILLE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Parke County residents came together for an evening of fun, community spirit, and safety awareness during its annual National Night Out celebration.
The event featured a range of family-friendly activities, a parade, and games. Families also got to meet and interact with local police, fire, and emergency personnel.
National Night Out events are designed to build stronger community-police relations with the community.
“Normally it’s their worst time that we get to interact with somebody. And tonight’s a good opportunity to come out and interact with us as well as other first responders and community organizations,” Detective Sergeant Cory Hutchins said.
The Parke County 4-H Fair is also taking place until July 18.
