TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Terre Haute Historical Society offers Saturday programs that bring in speakers to share their expertise.
The most recent speaker was George Sanquenetti, a vermillion county historian. Sanquenetti explained how George Rogers Clark is related to our history. He said Clark was in communication with Fransis Vigo, who Vigo County is named after.
Museum curator, Suzy Dunning, said these programs are important in understanding our history.
These programs, Dunning said, are beneficial for not only adults, but children.
“People can come here and learn more about our local history. they get a speaker presentation. there’s always a Q & A afterwards where they get to meet the speaker,” said Dunning.
The museum’s post updates for future events on their Facebook page at Vigo County History Center | Terre Haute IN | Facebook .
