SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – People made a splash at the Sullivan City Pool for free on Wednesday.
The Sullivan County Health Department and Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce sponsored free admission for the day. The health department also had its immunization trailer on site, and staff greeted people as they visited the pool.
Health Educator Rose Shepler said the health department has a walk-in clinic for vaccinations every Wednesday. They also do an activity called ‘plalking’ on Wednesdays, which is picking up litter while walking. Community members are encouraged to join them.
“Picking up litter while walking, it’s a good thing for the community to get us all active and then also give back, and clean up,” said Shepler.
The Sullivan County Health Department is located on the square in Sullivan at the corner of Jackson and Main Streets.
