TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The 12-point Public Market partnered with a local organization for the Clothe-A-Child Event.
At the local market, ten percent of their provides for today all went towards support the Noon Optimist Club’s Clothe-A-Child. The program provides local children with clothes throughout the year.
President of the Noon Optimist Club, Lisa Jones, says this club relies on support for the community to meet those clothing demands.
“We raise $100,000 a year to be able to provide clothing for about 1,000 kids from fifth grade to kindergarten,” said Jones.
She also mentions they are always in need of club members to aid in more fundraising efforts.
