SHELBURN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Dozens of local residents gathered to play the popular game of bingo.
The Shelburn Police and Reserves Association hosts community bingo night every week. Attendees can enjoy multiple rounds of bingo, with a chance to win multiple cash prizes, including over a thousand dollars. The event takes place every Wednesday at the Shelburn Community Center at 6 p.m., for $46 per person. President of the Shelburn Police and Reserves Association, Matthew Price, said it’s a great way to give back to the community.
“All the proceeds that we get here from charitable gaming go right back to non-profit organizations right here in Sullivan County, to include Shelburn,” said Price. “We also help our first responders and our voluntary first responders who maybe don’t have the budget or can’t afford safety equipment. So, we utilize a lot of those funds as well to go toward safety equipment for our first responders in Sullivan County.”
