TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Union Health Foundation and Fuson Automotive have partnered together to provide essential safety equipment, car seats and pack-and-play units for new parents facing financial challenges.
In a press release, Union Health said, “this partnership helps bridge the gap, ensuring that every newborn leaves the hospital with the tools needed for a secure and healthy start.”
Unsafe sleep environments are a significant risk factor in infant mortality, contributing for 18% of all infant fatalities annually in Indiana, according to the Union Health Foundation. They add that providing a safe sleep environment can make a life-saving difference.
