ROCKVILLE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Over in Parke County, an event featured historical storytelling and music.
At the event guest speakers walked the audience through powerful memories and rich historical figures. Over in Rockville, Samantha Woodard, vice president of the Parke County Public Library Board, said this event seeks to bring traditions back into the county.
Ken Oguss was one of the guest speakers and a storyteller who writes and teaches short fiction. He mentions how important this event is the city of Rockville.
“And it’s important to come out and revive an old tradition of sharing education and philosophy and arts during the summer,” said Oguss.
This event also wanted to bring attention to the Rockville parks and build a partnership between the library and parks department. For more information on this event see story below.
