TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — After 142 racers hit the trails at Griffin Bike Park early Saturday morning, Catholic Charities said the Quick Quack Trail Run was a “feathered success.”
“It was incredible to see so many people come together to support this event,” said Sarah Eddy, Development Assistant for Catholic Charities Terre Haute and coordinator of the Quick Quack Trail Run. “We had more racers than ever before and more sponsors stepping up to support our mission. Every mile run helps nourish our neighbors and put hope into their hearts. It’s clear this community is full of generosity and compassion!”
Catholic Charities said this year’s Quick Quack Trail Run not only exceeded last year’s runner turnout but also helped them surpass their fundraising goals.
Every runner registration supports programs that aid the community, like Bethany House Emergency Shelter, Ryves Youth Center, the Christmas Store and the Terre Haute Catholic Charities.
Catholic Charities will also be holding its annual Rubber Duck Regatta, where participants purchase rubber ducks with the chance of winning a prize if theirs crosses the finish line first. The Rubber Duck Regatta will be held July 4th.
