TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — We headed to Deming Park and found artists painting pieces for a local competition, Swope Plein Air. Kimberly Smith and Christy Brickman-Robertson came out to Deming Park to encourage each other.
Fishing was also a popular activity and another way to enjoy the beautiful day, without over-exerting yourself. Michelle Kerr and Anthony Thurley says they found a shady spot.
“Deming Park is beautiful. Lots of wee, with Plein Air you want to do lots of light and shadow and so there’s a lot of dappling sunlight and just lot of variation,” said Smith.
“Trying to find something to do that’s shady, but yet we’re outside enjoying mother nature, so we’re out here fishing. Found a nice spot under the tree, so we’re gonna see how long we can handle it,” said Kerr.
As the heat continues, make sure to stay hydrated and take advantage of shaded areas.
