TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — There was an effort to strengthen problem-solving skills at the Terre Haute Children’s Museum.
Today, the Terre Haute Children’s Museum hosted a “Puzzle it Out Day”. It featured an escape room, D&D themed quest, plus other problem-solving activities. It helps children to look at a situation from another angle.
Children can also learn to overcome problems by using creativity with these different puzzles. Program manager Laurel Tincher said logistical skills are important, in not only the growth of a child, but in preparing the child for future problems that may arise.
“Get the kids out in a fun way. Getting the logic circuits kicked in. Just learning things, having fun. So, good way to learn and not even realize you are,” said Tincher.
Their next event is July 12th. The event is a foam party about bubble science and will be located on 8th street.
