SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— The Sullivan County Community Hospital Fitness Center hosted a special event for kids and their families.
Family Fit Friday took place this evening outside of the fitness center. The event featured face painting, inflatables, shaved ice, a color run, and much more. Community partners also participated in this event, with different activities for the kids.
Fitness Center Director Drew Hogue said the event is a great way to remind kids of the importance of exercise.
“Preaching what my team loves to do and that’s focus on fitness, focus on physical activity. We see a lot of chronic conditions out there right now with obesity, things like that. And we want to make sure these kids get a good start to help them for success later on.”
