KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A man accused of threatening two underage girls if they didn’t send pictures of themselves to him has been sentenced to five years in prison.
37-year-old Scott Dracul Kain was arrested in March after he was investigated for child solicitation and dissemination of matter harmful to minors, according to Indiana State Police.
The investigation began after a tip was sent to police claiming Kain had requested images from a juvenile female on social media. The female victim claimed that Kain had threatened her if she didn’t send him the pictures.
During the investigation, police were also contacted by Internet Crimes Against Children Investigators from Layton, Utah, and advised that a 14-year-old female victim told investigators Kain had allegedly solicited nude images of her. The female victim said Kain also threatened to hurt her if she didn’t send the pictures.
Kain was then arrested in Monroe County.
Kain faced charges of failure to register as a sex offender in Knox and Monroe counties, along with enticing a minor in Davis County, Utah.
He was also charged with two counts of child solicitation and two counts of dissemination of matter harmful to minors in Knox County.
In October, Kain accepted a plea deal on the child solicitation and dissemination of matter harmful to minors charges in Knox County, dismissing all charges other than one count of child solicitation.
Kain has been sentenced to five years in prison, with credit for time already served.
