TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Friends of the Library hosted their monthly book sale at the Vigo County Public Library.
Friends of the Library supports the Vigo County Library with funds that the State Government doesn’t cover. The group also organized the Halloween book sale, where they gave away over three thousand books.
Another sale like this won’t be happening again until December, but Susie Luedke, President of the Friends of the Library, said that’s when you can get gifts and discounts for the holidays.
At the Vigo County Library, there are thousands of items to choose from like magazines, CDs, DVDs, children’s books, and much more.
“It’s also a nice affordable gift. We have things that are right around a dollar, some 50 cents. We have a few that are recently published like some of the new James Patterson that are three dollars, so they’ll make very nice gifts for you, and it helps the library,” said Luedke.
The next book sale is Saturday, December 6th from 9:00 am until 4pm and they will have one again on Sunday, December 7th from 1pm until 3pm.
Luedke also said they need more volunteers. To find out how to get involved, visit Friends of the Library – Vigo County Public Library.
