PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Two teenagers and a 26-year-old man are in custody for drug-related charges out of Parke County.
According to the Parke County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation into the three men stemmed from a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Austin Shlee, of Rockville.
Police said Shlee was driving while under the influence of a controlled substance. He was then taken into custody.
During the traffic stop, police said they also learned that Shlee was “involved in drug activity.” Prompting the sheriff’s office to search Shlee’s home.
During the search, a 17-year-old was allegedly found in the home and was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia.
26-year-old James Czarnecke, of Terre Haute, was also inside the home, hiding in the bathroom. After allegedly providing deputies with a fake name, he was taken into custody and charged with false informing, visiting a common nuisance and a Sullivan County warrant for operating while intoxicated.
Based on the search of Shlee’s home, the Parke County Sheriff’s Office said Shlee was additionally arrested on charges of dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of marijuana.
