TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The 2026 Medicare open enrollment period begins next Wednesday, October 15.
With enrollment right around the corner, a local health system wants to make sure people are informed.
That’s why on Wednesday, October 8, Horizon Health held a Medicare information session in Terre Haute. The organization also hosted sessions in Paris and Marshall, Illinois.
Horizon Health also partnered with the President of Managed Care Partners to present an overview of the “ABC’s of Medicare.”
Horizon Health hopes these sessions help get this information out to as many people as possible.
“We’re healthcare providers at Horizon Health, right. Across our system whether you’re at our Terre Haute locations, whether you’re in Paris, whether you’re in our Marshall, Tilton locations, our goal is to provide you the care that you need,” said Erin Frank, director of marketing and communication for Horizon Health. “And unfortunately, fortunately, it just is what it is. Insurance is a big part of that and we never want insurance and coverage and finances to be a barrier to care.”
The Medicare open enrollment period is open from October 15 to December 7.
