VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — This event was a chance for all of the organizations to come out and not only visit with the community but educate people about what they do.
Some organizations present, were the terre haute humane society, the fire department, the children’s theatre, and many more. Children could explore, had a chance to pet a llama, and cool off by joining the bubble party with Foam Homies.
This event was completely free and had face painting, free books, and people could listen to the Children’s Theatre perform songs from Frozen, which gave a sneak peak of their winter performance.
For this family, it’s their first year going, and said they grabbed some books for the kids.
“Well, anytime we can put our kids around book and a learning environment, we want to, and we saw it was a family environment. We felt like we had to take advantage of it,” said Cameron Garrett, a community member.
Garrett also said he plans on bringing his family back again for this event, next year.
