TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Tursday evening, Trees Inc. celebrated a major milestone during its 2025 annual dinner meeting, marking 35 years of service to the Terre Haute community.
Guests enjoyed a catered dinner and heard from keynote speaker meteorologist Chad Evans, before the group held its annual election and shared highlights from the past year.
Since 1990, the all-volunteer nonprofit has planted thousands of trees, transforming streets, parks, and public spaces across the city.
They also organize hands-on planting events, offer educational outreach, partner with schools and civic groups, and provide free saplings to residents annually.
“It’s all about people having great care for our community, a great love and passion for trees. And a desire to bring those two things together to improve our environment,” Ann Ryan President of Board of Directors said.
