TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— If you have wanted to take to the skies and fly among the clouds, the Terre Haute R/C Club has an exciting event coming for you.
The Terre Haute Model Aviation Club is hosting a Fun Fly open house event to let newcomers try out the hobby for themselves. Radio-controlled airplanes, drones, rockets, and kites are all free to fly and available to use. According to the Vice President of the club, Roger Anderson, the event will also feature free food, contests, drawings, games, simulators, and giveaways throughout the length of the event.
The Fun Fly open house will take place on September 27 from 11 a.m. until dusk. The event will take place at the Terre Haute R/C Club located at 1273 W Harlan Drive, about 2 1/2 miles west of the Love’s Truck Stop.
