WABASH VALLEY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — How about this, one man has seen the incredible evolution of WTWO.
Back when each piece was done manually, Stephen Tucker would create name banners you see on the bottom of your screen by hand, with white letters on black cards. Tucker was an illustrator for us here at WTWO, for 10 years, many years ago.
He said he even remembers when the station first switched from black and white broadcasts, to color. Imagine, one man who meticulously illustrated little pieces you see every day in our show.
Mr. tucker reflected on the many years he spent at WTWO, doing a variety of different roles.
“Oh my god, I’m a fan, so I watch the news and everything and it’s great. It’s become a real top-notch station. When we first started, I mean just held together with spit and belay wire. We did I mean a little bit of everything. I even ran camera, noon news, and studio director sometimes. designed all the sets,” said Tucker.
Generations of WTWO employees, and friends, we want to thank you for making us your local news leader.
