VERMILLION, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced traffic pattern changes and lane closures that will impact State Road 63 near I-74 in Vermillion County.
These traffic pattern changes and lane closures are part of an ongoing intersection improvement project.
In August, INDOT announced that “traffic in both directions will move from the southbound lanes to the northbound lanes, with both southbound lanes being closed.”
Now, INDOT said, “beginning on or after Monday, September 15, traffic will move back into the normal northbound and southbound lanes, with each left lane closed.”
INDOT said this is anticipated to be the final change in traffic patterns for this intersection improvement project.

“Completion of the reduced conflict intersection (RCI) is anticipated to be in mid-October but is weather-dependent and subject to change,” according to a press release from the department.
Traffic officials encourage all motorists to use caution and to be mindful of the new traffic pattern.
