UPDATE (10:30 a.m.) — According to Duke Energy, around 170 people are still without power as of 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Duke Energy said those customers’ power isn’t expected to be on until around 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Motorist are asked to avoid the area until crews complete their work.
LEWIS TWP., Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A downed power transmission line has caused power outages and a road closure near Lewis Twp. on Tuesday morning.
According to the Lewis Township Volunteer Fire Department, a major power transmission line is down across State Road 159 between County Road 1100 and County Road 1200.
According to the Duke Energy Outage Map, 213 people in the area remain without po
wer as of 8:15 a.m. Duke Energy estimates the return of power around 10:45 a.m.

According to a social media post by the fire department, the power company stated that it will take approximately 10 hours to fix.
Officials ask motorists to please avoid the area.
