PARIS, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — Horizon Health’s Tilton Clinic is extending its clinical hours to five days a week, as Family Nurse Practitioner Megan Paxton is now seeing patients on a full-time basis.
Since its opening in June, the family health clinic has been open only two days a week, allowing Paxton to complete onboarding.
Now that she has completed that training, the clinic will be open Monday through Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
“We appreciate the community’s patience while we worked through the details of providing family medicine services in Tilton,” said Jay Carmichael, Horizon Health President and CEO. “Unfortunately, Illinois licensing and practice regulations delayed this process. We are now proud to announce that we are operating with full-time hours, and we are eager to further our relationship with Tilton and the surrounding communities.”
The Tilton Clinic treats a full range of medical issues, and in addition to Paxton, the staff includes Britney Garrison, certified medical assistant, and Melissa Turner, registration representative.
