TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Over the busy weekend, hundreds of siblings, parents, and loved ones stepped onto ISU campus and got to have a glimpse into campus life.
Many activities were held by faculty and staff to entertain families, such as college open houses, games, trivia, and more. Plus, many families enjoyed seeing Indiana State football get the win on Saturday.
But Sunday, many of the families wanted to take one last stroll around campus, especially with today’s beautiful weather.
“The weather’s been beautiful. We’ve really enjoyed spending time with our daughter. The football game was a great success. We won yesterday and today we’re getting a tour of the campus and her classes, so we’re just really enjoying it,” said Jeff Mousty, father of an ISU student.
For other families, this was their second year on campus for Indiana State’s family weekend.
Although campus is a bit more familiar, one father still appreciates seeing what his daughter’s life looks like, especially as a manager for Indiana State Football.
“She took us on a tour. She showed us the route that she goes each day. So, we were able to kind of take that in kinda seeing like what time she goes gets up in the morning, make sure she’s getting to bed on time. The good news with her is between football and studies, she’s very busy all the time,” said Jim Groth, a father of an ISU student.
What great weather for Indiana State’s Family Weekend.
