TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— You can find a new book, watch a free movie, or take an educational class at the Vigo County Public Library.
The library offers resources for people of all ages, but you need a library card. It’s Library Card Sign-up Month.
Anyone who signs up for a library card during September will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a special prize basket. No matter your age, background, or interests, a library card can connect you to new resources and experiences.
“I think everybody knows that the library has books, but what we really want for the community to understand is that we’re books and more,” said Shaleena Barker, Public Relations Manager for the Vigo County Public Library. “So, like with your library card, you can do a variety of different things, including accessing our online databases.”
The only requirement is that you have to be a Vigo County resident. You can visit any of the library’s three branches to get signed up for a library card.
