ELNORA, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— The 41st annual white river valley antique show is taking place at the fairgrounds through Saturday.
People got to see old tractors and other equipment, and got to see how things were made. People could also go to the flea market on the fairgrounds for some shopping and see real-life demonstrations of things like a sawmill, steam engines, horse plowing, and so much more. People came to this antique show for many different reasons.
“I’m here on a school field trip,” Junior at Northeast Dubois Highschool Tyler Reading said. “Taking a little break, walk around. I’m looking for stuff to buy, maybe like a poster or something to put in my room.
I’m showing my five-cleat track built trackers,” Jasonville and BF Avery member Dale Canada said. “A lot of times, young kids will ask me, ‘What are these used for?” As a garden tracker?” These are actually real farm trackers. They were produced from ’39 to ’42. That sure beat a team of horses.”
It costs $10 for anyone 15 and over to enjoy the antique show. People 14 and under get in for free. It is being held at the Daviess County Fairgrounds. To learn more about the antique show and anything else the White River Valley Antique Association does, just visit their website.
