CLOVERDALE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— A semi with a bad tire caused several small fires to start along the interstate on Labor Day.
According to the Indiana State Police’s Public Information Officer, a semi traveling along Interstate 70 near Cloverdale had one of its tires blow and shred as it traveled along the interstate. ISP said that the vehicle traveled around three miles along the road’s shoulder, with the tire falling apart along the way and causing fires to spring up.
The fires occurred around 2 p.m., and Indiana State Police confirmed that all the fires were extinguished by 3:01 p.m.
