TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Union Health is partnering with the Lavern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course to help provide sports medicine services to the nationally renowned complex.
“We are thrilled to officially partner with the Lavern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course. They are one of the premier cross-country venues in the country, and we are excited to bring our sports medicine services to serve all the athletes that compete there,” Yevette Cress, Manager, Union Health Center for Sports Medicine (USM), said. “We strive to build strong relationships with our community partners, and this is another opportunity for Union Health to do that.”
USM is the largest provider of sports medicine in the Wabash Valley, and provides state-of-the-art, comprehensive orthopedic and sports medicine care that will help athletes get back on the course as fast as possible.
“The new partnership between the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course and Union Health Sports Medicine is very exciting,” Jeff Martin, Facility Director, said. “It is reassuring to know that we will have the very best medical professionals tending to the athletes at our facility. Here at the Lavern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course, we take pride in giving each athlete, regardless of age, a first-class experience when they compete here. This partnership will further that experience with top-notch medical care before, during and after the races.”
The Lavern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course hosts numerous NCAA Division I and Division II national championships and regional meets.
