TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— The results of the 2025 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Men’s Cross Country Preseason Poll are in, and they predict Rose-Hulman to win back-to-back championships.
The poll is conducted each year by the league’s head coaches. Rose-Hulman won the #1 spot with six more votes than Manchester. They scored 80 points in the poll and eight first-place votes. Manchester finished second with two first-place votes, and Hanover was placed third among the ten teams.
The Fightin’ Engineers earned the HCAC title last season, making it their seventh championship since 2013. Ros-Hulman finished 57 to 30 over Manchester the previous season for the win.
Rose-Hulman had five student-athletes earn HCAC All-Conference last season. Those key returners include Joshua Pohle, Sam Rinker, Eduardo del Rosal, Rhys Phelps, and Chris Lynn.
Rose-Hulman begins its season on August 29 at 9:15 a.m., traveling to compete in the Sam Bell Invitational.
